Description

My own dedication to the late Steve Irwin. I have been always a fan for his work, dedication to the wild life and all of his family. I just hope his work will always continue people to appreciate nature and wild life.

*Fretty

ps: Since somehow the GFX made this error thingy, I suggest you all check the potrait version. It is the same photo only that is on potrait and the one I posted here is in landscape version. But if you curious about the landscape version, just wait for a day, I already asked Martin about it. Thanks anyway :)

ps2: okay fixed it! It seems that the GFX can't upload a GIF file....uhm....

ps3: kudos to  FAV, you have an eye for it! (thumbup)

Very nice photo!
It looks a little grainy on my screen, not sure if that 's the look you were going for.

Tom : it doesn't look grainy in my computer, but thank you for the input!

nice work.
I would crop it just above the thing that is coming out of the water.

I like the idea but think the composition could be worked on further. Like fav said the reflection of the concrete at the top is distracting and a bit ugly. also a different angle with a polariser (not sure if you used one anyway) might remove more of the glare.

thanks a lot for your kindness. it looks better now. you could go even more with the cropping to eliminate the entire reflection, but anyway looks great.

beautiful work Fretty. I like the way that the local colors are the defining factor of the composition along with the structure in the water. I also like all of the diagonals created by the vegetation in the water. Very nice work.

The poRtrait version ;) looks also nice (maybe prefer it actually!)

Love that green "guck:ich" stuff floating in the water... :)
Gives a special mood!

The top of the rock sculpture in the water looks slightly overexposed on the whites (or maybe it is just my monitor).

In the landscape version I'd crop the top left part tiny left over of something (or heal it out).

Nice to see you explore the nature! More of that please!

PS. Did you try it in bw LOL :p

I like the colors in this one. The glare is a bit distracting and takes away from the the rest of the photo. Well done.

Wow! I've never seen a river/lake like this before. The colors are beautiful, which has been said a few times before. However, the glare in the left is a little bothersome to the eyes. I would've waited a little later in the day for that cloud to move for a better reflection. The rock element protruding over the water pulls away from it though. -tilts head- I like it. ^_^

Lovely shot! I used to play in our pond when I was a child, and I loved collecting the "slime" as we called it, hee. That was fun stuff to play with. ^_^
